Learn to Eat Intuitively in 3 Simple Steps
Have you ever sworn you'd only have a handful of crisps — and then suddenly the whole bag is gone?
Do you feel guilty after eating, only to restrict yourself the next day and promise to “be good”?
If so, you’re not alone — and intuitive eating could be the shift you need.
Many of us are caught in a loop:
Overeat → Feel guilt → Restrict → Crave → Repeat.
This isn’t a lack of willpower — it’s your body responding to restriction. And the more we ignore our hunger, the more chaotic our relationship with food becomes.
My Journey to Food Freedom
I’ve spent years feeling disconnected from my body — always chasing a goal weight, obsessing over my appearance, and battling body dysmorphia. I believed eating less was the answer.
But truthfully? I love food.
I love enjoying meals, flavours, and the freedom to eat without guilt.
When I started practicing intuitive eating, everything changed. I stopped fearing food, and started trusting my body again.
What Is Intuitive Eating?
Intuitive eating is simple:
It’s about listening to your body’s hunger and fullness cues — not diet rules or external “shoulds.”
As children, we did this naturally. But over time, we’ve been conditioned to ignore those signals in favour of diet culture, meal plans, or emotional eating.
By tuning back in, you return to a balanced, natural rhythm with food.
How I Eat Now
I eat when I’m hungry
I stop when I feel satisfied
I don’t punish myself for enjoying food
I don’t eat by the clock — I eat when my body asks for it
Some days I skip breakfast. Other days I eat a full spread. It all depends on what my body needs.
Try These 3 Simple Steps
Start here. Use this every time you eat for a week and notice the difference.
1. Pause & Check In
Ask yourself: Am I really hungry? Thirsty? Bored? Avoiding something?
2. Rate Your Hunger (1–10)
Eat when you’re around a 7 — truly hungry, but not ravenous.
3. Stop at a 3
Comfortably full. Not stuffed. Not still hungry. Eat slowly and give your body time to register fullness.
Bonus Tip: Feed the Muscle
If you want to feel toned, strong, and capable — you need to eat enough.
Starving your body won’t build muscle. It leads to weakness, low energy, low confidence, and less independence.
Fuel = strength. And strength = freedom.
Final Thoughts
When you tune in to your body, you’ll find peace, energy, and balance.
No more food guilt. No more obsessing.
Just you, feeling good, and finally free.
It’s time to trust your body — and love food again. 💛
